The calculation method employed by DReW Seismic was developed by Conte, Pugliese and Troncone (2022). The main features of the method are summarized in this section.

 

 

 

The main steps are the calculation of:

 

➢the distribution of the net pressures acting on the wall

 

➢the critical acceleration

 

➢the horizontal displacement of the top of the wall

 

 

 

As the method is dynamic, all the above quantities vary with time due to the considered earthquake.
